Ergo love

I am so delighted to see how many companies are providing and/or requiring ergonomic desks, keyboards, and chairs! It is great to see proactive measures in response to our well-being.

There are so many issues involved with not sitting properly, and there is also so much "information" about it. I would always suggest speaking with an official ergonomic counselor at your job about your desk set-up.

I recently bought back support from Amazon, and I have to say wow- I felt instant difference, I sit comfortably and feel great, no pains and I am forced to sit up straight.

Ergonomics!

But, but, it feels so right!?

Ethics may seem very obvious, however, when stepping out of one's highly specific individual shoes, is not so obvious. Ethics are our overall government of morality. Morality being more individual, ethics being more communal.

Our environment and our questions have a huge impact. Who raised us, the culture of our family and our friends, the religious and spiritual beliefs, the political beliefs, the mentality we are exposed to, etc. are just some of the factors that convince us what is appropriately helpful or harmful. We can have some individual moral conflicts with our community, but follow their ethical guidelines.

But... what about all the laws and protests that exist? Will we ever agree on what should be, can be, and may be? Eating meat, capital punishment, self defense, favoritism... Which is okay? Why? Who thought otherwise, and why?

Sometimes, some of our default ethical rules we could never consider to reconsider, are considerably unique. Below, an inforgraphic showing just a few simple outlooks in ethics-land.

The best resources, I think, are historical books (ie Epic of Gilgamesh, the Bible, the Republic) to see where and why we started birthing these ideas. In addition, historical and cultural research allows us to truly understand ourselves and others.
